1st lesson: Today got general lecture as usual. Sadly, not many students come for the 1st lecture. “what happen to the rest?” Dr asks us. We just smile wif innocent face. In my heart say “sorry Dr. ..” and not so many times later, some of us came and that Dr. said “ for those who come late, I want to teach u how to be a successful Dr later on. There’s no secret but DISCIPLINE!SUCCESS begin with DISCIPLINE! You must know how to manage ur time. Be on time! I really not appreciate for those who came late for lecture, later than ur lecturer.” That words strike me! I feel like the word goes to me also. Its make me think.. my mind try to rewind back to three years ago, when I’m in matriculation programme. There is one of my lecturer, math lecturer Cikgu Ainun. Until now I still can remember her. She is very strict during her lecture. She can consider if we fall asleep but not doing something else like chatting during her lecture. And one more thing, she really din like us to write down during her lecture unless she ask us to do so. She said, “Math is about practicing. The more u practice the more u learn. ” and she always said this to us, “ kalau awak menyalin masa lecture saya, xberkat awak belajar.” ...hurm..
2nd lesson: yesterday, got class wif dr mohammad about peripheral nerve. Seriously, I think all of us scared of him. He is very strict oso. So many things happen yesterday. But, yes of course he is true! Before we finish our class, he gave us some advise, “you don’t need to write down all of the things I teach u. it is like u don’t trust ur brain! Bear in mind, if u want to be success, u need training. Keep on practicing. If u always write down like a robot, what do u get? From now on, u have to trust ur brain. Every single lecture, u try to pay full attention to ur lecture and try to memorize it. Tell urself, ‘after this class, I will note down what have i learn or get.’ In learning process, u need three things! One is ur BRAIN, second is ur CLOTHING of course, and the last one is your COMMUNICATION skill, the way u talk. All those three is very important.. ”
BERKAT!! Yes! That is the word.. macamana nak dapat berkat kalau selalu buat Dr atau lecturer disappointed? Hurm..my mind can’t stop thinking. So many times, I do the same mistakes. Come late for lecture wif innocent face, come late for ward round every morning, and the worst thing, I’m always skip my round during surgery posting. Astaghfirullahal’aziim. How could I get the so called ‘berkat’ from lecturer? O Allah, I’ve done some mistakes but only now I realized it. Can I be a good Dr later on? O Allah, my mistake. Pls forgive me..
